This analysis blames the "elite" victims of what Chris Mooney correctly called the Republican War on Science in his (2006?) book on the subject. Starting with the tobacco lobby and the attacks on climate science in the 1990s, Republicans have systematically undermined any attempt to base public policy on objective scientific research. As with democracy in general, it's impossible to do any kind of evidence-based public policy when a party supported by half the population prefers lies to truth. That, and not miscommunication by experts like Fauci, is why you have a lunatic anti-vaxer determining your national health policy.

Sophisticated mathematical analysis and advanced scientific methods including physics, were used in determining her overwhelming win. A lawsuit has been filed for a complete ballot count in every state.
The enthusiasm and desire of the moral younger generations are unquestionable. Efforts are underway to retain and improve the democratic republic by readdressing issues and identifying mistakes of the past and major stumbling blocks of the fire. They could use your assistance, I’m sure!
As I read your piece, I felt that most of the blame goes to human nature. The overwhelming desire of many to have more and more, money, power. The willingness to exploit others without conscience.
So what Fauci used polling results? If the media wasn't in the business just for the money, the public could have be educated about the reasons, and moved on. Same w/ CDC, WHO (ever) hid, that it was airborne. Investgative journalism could have ferreted out the truth, and prodded the agencies instead of using it to divide & profit.
Is there any form of governance that can long contain our baser instincts? Liberalism, as you described it in another piece, requires participants of good faith and integrity.
I fear a Star Trek future is far away, and would not be surprised if humans drive themselves to extinction before they achieve social evolution.
