"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety". Ben Franklin in a 1755 letter
As hard as I try, I cannot think of Trump and his cabinet as anything other than enactors of DOGE (Destroy Our Great Experiment). Their actions-- to my way of thinking-- only made sense in a few scenarios. They (Trump et al.) are a collection of psychopaths, selected by the Psychopath-In-Chief. They fulfill the following:
He who knows not
And knows not that he knows not
Is a Fool
Shun him
The above is one conclusion that an independent observer could easily come to. Trump et al. have seriously maimed the US. That little bit of good they have done to reduce illegal immigration caused by documented criminals, has been overridden with horrendous collateral damage. This fulfills the warning- "Don't toss out the baby with the bath water."
The second possibility, given Trump and much of his political allies have cozied up to dictators around the world, and Trump has been especially kind and generous to Putin, is that Trump is a Russian operative (i.e., a Manchurian candidate). This may not be an operative in the movie or book sense of the word, but a Putin asset functionally.
Either way, "Don" Trump is essentially a Mafia boss, evidencing all the typical signs of a Mafioso. If Americans had voted, and more wisely, we would not have such a wayward House of Representatives. Then, we could reasonably see a House vote for Trump's impeachment, a Senate trial and conviction to remove Trump from American politics vis-à-vis Article II, Section 4, of the Constitution. This would, in my opinion, be the basis:
US Constitution, Article II, Section 4
"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
High Crimes and Misdemeanors:
1 Political offenses and abuse of power
2 Misuse of the office for improper or personal gain
3 Conduct that is incompatible with the purpose and function of the office
4 Serious violation of public trust
Relevant to the issue of "high crimes and misdemeanors"
The Framers used the phrase "high Crimes and Misdemeanors" to create a flexible safety valve to remove an officer who is unfit because their misconduct demonstrates an essential failure to uphold the duties and dignity of the office
Relevant to item 2
Using the powers of the Presidency (e.g., the Justice Department or foreign policy) to cover up or advance a personal, unethical agenda. This is clear with Trump's interaction with Saudi Arabia and the personal gain he and his family have obtained via building of hotels and golf courses in Saudi Arabia, as well as the millions received by Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, from the Saudi government.
I feel really badly for the NG personnel that were shot, this is inexcusable, but I find the Reischtag fires of trump's so called assassination attempt, Kirk and now this, are awfully curious and convenient in timing. And last least in both the assassination and Kirk's case the talking points and merch seemed ready to deploy.
Trump did not put his hand on the bible. That act illustrates his attitude and even he had that moment of honesty or rude belligerance to omit that part of the pledge in front of everyone. Most didn't even notice or care so once again he is indulged in a obscene way.
I grew up with two languages; intellectual from a university degreed educator, and blue collar from a business owning woman.
I love listening to stories around our human existence in both. because your intellectual context challenges and captivated me, I thought I might introduce my blue collar fox, Steve Schmidt - I know you will absorb him.
We better hope patriotic pro-constitution members of the deep state (or the rare political appointees in this criminal administration who haven’t sold their souls to the devil) are still working quietly and hard to protect the rest of us. If not, we would be more deeply f….d than we already are.
Please don’t shy from calling these people cowards. It’s what clarity calls for.

I needed your thoughtful “notes” right now and know that I appreciate the complex analysis that validates what needs to be said.
