Your “The Judicial Counterrevolution” should be read out loud in school each day instead of prayer or pledge. Loved it-don’t understand how Repugs took that understanding away-keep them scared, grievanced and intellectually lazy, I guess.
If you haven’t seen this yet you should see it. It’s beginning sound like they’re waiting for another new member to be sworn in to cancel grijalva vote. Check it out. These guys are so damn devious.
Yes, you’re getting anxious and angry and savouring the fear Trump and his team might be experiencing. They might be anticipating arrest and jail time for the many laws they’ve broken. But that fear could be dangerous for us— when people are desperate to avoid jail, there’ll do anything to avoid it including civil war or worse.
Brock's short discussion of "The Rule of Law" is of utmost relevance to what we are all witness to. It is not The Emperor Wears No Clothes, but sadly and tragically, The Republican Congress Wears No Clothes. Many in this country, regardless of "party affiliation," realize this. Mike Johnson should be an embarrassment for all of America. All the members of the House and Senate have been on paid holiday for 39 days as of today. 700,000 Federal employees have gone without pay, but our elected officials have been paid.
Members of Congress, including Representatives and Senators, are paid an annual salary of $174,000 (with leadership positions like Speaker of the House earning $224,000) which amounts to approximately $476.71 per day, and this salary has continued during the so-called recess period.
This is our elected government officials not doing their work. This is, at least in my opinion it is, on the same level of outrage as the dereliction of duty and the effacement of any semblance of abiding by the Constitution that Trump is guilty of.
Mike has aptly reminded us of the corruption of the courts, including that of the Supreme court of the US. He has noted the weaponization of Federal departments like Homeland Security, the FBI, the DOJ, and virtually every single Department appointee made by Trump. Their display of
lawlessness, blatant as it is, must be shocking to all- yet despite the stunning victories of Democrats in NY, NJ and VA, there are still millions of US citizens showing their acquiescence to what I consider criminal behavior.
And yes, those journalists, lawyers and executives who have kissed the royal anal sphincter are shameful. Where are your moral fibers Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, etc.? The American constituency has contributed tremendously to your ridiculous wealth, but your addiction to greed has no bounds. Shame on all of you.
I am Antifa. I do not have a membership card, nor do I attend any meetings because there ain't any fucking Antifa conspiracy. But I wear my custom-designed T-shirt that reads:
TRUMP is a FASCIST
I am ANTI-FAscist (case-sensitive)
I AM ANTIFA
Lately, the Democratic Party has sounded more like a viable representative body. What I would like to see and hear, however, is that each Democrat in the House and Senate is allocating the $476.71 per day to buy food for Americans who are in financial straits due to the issues with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This comes to roughly $19,000 per each member of the House and Senate. I would guess that most Republicans would not express the charity for all, and malice towards none, espoused by Lincoln. But if they did, the total membership of 535 in House & Senate would come to: $10,165,00 so far (39 days).
My speculation is that no or few Republicans would show charity. But if the Democrats did and publicized what they were doing, then the total of 260 Democrats x $19,000 would amount to
$4,940,000. And if this were to be done, and then we had a National broadcast that involved a telethon where donations from the Public could be made, we would help those in need, in Red and Blue states, regardless of their party affiliation, and in the spirit that once made this country great.
What say you to this consideration? Like my now favorite author said in his Jeffersonian Lecture: It All Turns on Affection. https://tinyurl.com/48dn7wzy is the link to this book (on ThriftBooks).
Good luck convicting the wealthy and having them serve time. Merrick Garland with his line “nobody is above the law” was a bill of goods served cold. It just doesn’t happen or I should say rarely!!!!
My god so Curtis Yarvin is also tied to Peter Thiel. Everything seems to come back to Peter Thiel I’m finding. Peter Thiel is where justice must start and work from there. He’s a huge culprit in so much of what we are seeing.

Good stuff Mike
