I wanted to talk about something that worries me as we head into what I believe will be the final days of this regime. A lot of people aren’t perceiving reality as it exists on the ground. Senior executives at major companies don’t know the scale of the protests. They think I’m exaggerating until I send them videos. We’ve created information ecosystems where people get their entire worldview from parasocial relationships with commentators, leaving them psychologically unprepared for what’s coming.
But mostly, I wanted to address my former friends in crypto and tech directly. The ones who said I had Trump derangement syndrome. Who said Kamala would be worse. Who claimed Trump was the peace president who doesn’t believe in war. You didn’t support Trump because of pronouns, cancel culture, or Hunter Biden’s laptop. You supported him because you were worried Kamala would regulate you. Because you were mad at Lina Khan. It was about your pocketbook. You chose greed, and now Americans are being gunned down in the streets by the man you called the lesser evil. Do I really want people like you—hanging out on beaches in El Salvador, not giving a shit about this country—to be the richest people in the world when the system collapses? Fuck that.
I’m still open to apologies. You have my number. I await your call.
