Today I spoke directly to the children. The ones in Gaza. In Ukraine. In the occupied territories. In Tehran. Among the Uyghurs. The ones whose parents — and the adults running this world — have made a catastrophic mess of things and are calling it leadership.
I told them I see them. I told them I’m on their side. I told them the adults are, in fact, stupid — and that an eight-year-old can see this more clearly than most of the people in power.
I also told them the one thing worth holding onto right now:
Truth is love deep down.
Speak it anyway.
