I think Doge & Co. are the biggest scam in the history of the USA. Something like Ocean's 11 on steroids!
Tesla Sales dropped in Europe, in Germany by 59% in January. Musk is Tesla and Tesla is Musk. Nobody likes Musk in DE so nobody likes Tesla. Simple as that.
Why is Musk destroying his reputation and image as the savior of all values? And yet the Tesla stock price is not falling? It's simple: in the long run, the strategy will pay off. Musk wants power and he's getting it. Power now is money in the future.
It's no coincidence that Doge, a Musk-backed stablecoin (without any intrinsic value!), has the same name as Doge Department of Government Efficiency... Stablecoins are not only suitable for scams, but especially for shifting really large sums of money, money that goes to influencers, to favorites, to supporters from old and new days and people who are owed a thank you or a favor can be called in.
The purpose of $Trump or $Melania is to finance the Trump myth. The president is currently being "bought". 10 institutional investors currently hold $100 million each in Trump family stable coins. Is this a bought democracy ?
My opinion: Musk is beating down the Tesla stock price. When Musk's new compensation package is negotiated, the stock prices must be as low as possible at the beginning of the period and as high as possible at the end of the compensation period. The higher the difference, the greater the advantage for Musk's wealth from the stock options. Sorry, but I'm not buying that Musk is suddenly a champion of right-wing values. I think his current position simply brings him the most wealth in the long run. This whole Doge discussion is not about left or right, about woke or classical value scales.
All that woke discussion is just to keep the media and the public (and the Trump voters) busy. Panem et Circenses !
Article A Coup is In Progress in America was cited in one of the biggest german IT news portal.
There is astonished disbelief in Germany and Europe that the fatherland of democracy (France and the French Revolution as the motherland) is sending a dozen 19-year-old IT nerds without training to meetings with high-ranking US government officials and simply telling them "you are fired". Is a dream come true for the "Apprentice"?
I 100% agree but diversity of perspective is key to moving the needle and I can’t help but think that enough Americans see what Musk is doing as “draining the swamp” or “cutting government waste”… so the question is how do we get people who do see some value in what Musk is doing even though they may disagree with approach, to care enough? So 2 + 2 = 4 unless 2 + 2 = 5 because it yields the result of government accountability and spending… People’s perception and perspective on all this is nuanced and complex.
I’m not saying I think that way I’m just trying to understand how others may think so that we can anticipate and message in a way that impacts even more people than those that just buy the factual premise that 2+2 = 4.
I appreciate your thoughtful response. You're right that many Americans might see Musk's actions as 'draining the swamp' or 'cutting waste.' This perception is precisely what makes the situation so dangerous.
The key is to understand that accountability and efficiency are indeed important, but they must be pursued within the bounds of law and democratic norms. When we allow the pursuit of these goals to override fundamental legal and ethical constraints, we risk dismantling the very systems that ensure long-term accountability.
2+2=4 isn't just about math—it's about maintaining a shared reality that allows democracy to function. If we accept that 2+2 can equal 5 when it's convenient for our political goals, we lose the foundation for any meaningful debate or accountability.
The challenge is to show that true government accountability comes from strong institutions, checks and balances, and a professional civil service—not from concentrating power in the hands of a few individuals, no matter how efficient they claim to be.
We need to emphasize that there are legal, democratic ways to address government waste and inefficiency. Bypassing laws and norms doesn't 'drain the swamp'—it risks replacing it with something far more dangerous.
Ultimately, our task is to help people see that defending basic truths and democratic processes is in everyone's long-term interest, even if it sometimes seems to conflict with short-term goals of efficiency or change.
You're absolutely right that messaging on this is crucial. We need to acknowledge people's legitimate concerns about government performance while showing how current actions threaten the very accountability they seek.
It seems that the “but they’re draining the swamp” folks are happy just outsourcing that democratic work, yet we know that working within the law really requires far more engagement. I’m coming to believe that a core action is just an education about democracy and rights. The language of it. The acts of it. I understand why it’s passé right now-algorithms, dopamine, burnout, etc. thank you for this article that provided me with the missing link, beautifully (and terrifyingly) explained. I get it now.
My opinion, the key point to make is that even if someone agrees with what Musk is doing, like you outlined, the reality is that the way it's being done is what's illegal or unconstitutional or whatever. So hopefully folks can see that, regardless of what you think about the end result, the ends don't justify the means, or at least, they shouldn't.
FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL !!!

Yes. Trump is ultimately a dealer who benefits most from keeping us hooked.
