Quite so. This is why leaders implore us to extend an ear and an encouraging word, and to help construct a pathway to reality-based community working together. It has agency and fruitful action rather than excuses for empty and useless positions (cosplay) -- far more fulfilling than "identity politics", which only offers shallow and useless community based on reaction.
