Since you use the word gallop… in horse training, we often observe that speed disguises a loss of balance… which could launch into an entire philosophical discussion about balance (dynamic rather than static) as an (the?) essential quality of any healthy, functioning system… its physics, as you might observe. 😉
So, when accelerating, it get’s easier to Knock a thing Off course by some exacting measurement. I assume. It’s at that point, I envision Yarvin stumbling to Correct. Struggling to make Sense.
I am reminded of Virilio idea of speed as described in his idea of Dromology. When we travel fast the tree we observe from a car becomes blurred. In phenomenological terms it becomes a simulacrum - it is no longer the same tree that we observe when we walk round it, and are able to touch and smell it and *feel* it.
I suppose what I am trying to say is that it seems that people Yarmin profess a great deal and expound on that and yet fail to consider the structure of their knowledge.
Recently I watched a video of a long interview with Yarvin, never having heard him speak. I was struck by his intelligence but annoyed by his never really answering concise and direct questions. When he meandered through history, he was often careless about facts. For instance he claimed that before Hitler, no one in Europe had committed genocide since 1100. His historical references gave the impression that he wanted to obfuscate the issues while at the same time insinuate that he was very knowledgeable. In any case, I hope that the debate comes off - with you, he won’t be able to avoid having to respond.
Don’t know how I stumbled upon your Substack (algorithm no doubt) but I’m enjoying your intellectual arguments in this crazy mixed up world. Before I subscribe, I need to know more about you. The most I can find is that you were/are a Silicon Valley bro. What is your background? Origin story? Education? I’m just a curious granny
Looking forward to this, Mike. You don’t need any advice from me, but … if you’re so inclined, please ask him about “love”…
What is it? Is it a real force (of nature? of humanity?) or is it just a silly emotion, a cute sentiment? Does “love” have any role in the conception and construction of human systems? Are systems and relationships premised on “love” (and the attendant respect and caring) compatible with systems and relationships premised on power?
Assuming “love” underlies all of creation - at least in the Judeo-Christian and western philosophical traditions, but not solely therein - what role, if any, does Mr. Yarvin see for it?
be very careful. as you have said he is very well read and wickedly smart and able to twist a point, a phrase a political theory to his advantage on a dime. I’ve read some of his work and it is convincing on the surface. He is dangerous . .exceedingly dangerous.
Good. You'll run rings around him.

Will the debate be available to the public in some form?
Glad you took up the gauntlet, suggest you also smack him metaphorically with it.
Yarvin is a well read, articulate fraud. Expose him.

Curtis certainly has a high opinion of himself. I suspect you will vanquish him,
Yarvin's blathering is the essence of sophism. Pull back the curtain on this overinflated Oz.

Anyway, break a leg… 😊
For one who’s never Known love. If it were merely Silly, I’d have Crossed Paths with it by now. Proof it’s something More Than.

Doubtful! For him to accept is to acknowledge you as an equal. Not gonna happen.
Although, I hope he does. You will eviscerate him!
You lost me when you said "Curtis Yarvin is an intelligent man."
Oh yeah. We will look forward to a report, afterwards.
Only a Report afterwards! Surely there’s to be a Recorded Video. What the Heck? A Debrief is also Desirable. Of course.
Looking at the Entry prices for the Conference. Assuming now, no Videos at all. Foolish me.
Posso aggiungere solo una cosa alle infinite e " furbe" digressioni di Yarvin " pour epateur les bourgeaus" :
Il tuo dire sia SI SI , NO NO il più è del demonio " .
Cordiali saluti
Un'amico dell'Italia
