I never thought you weren't OK. It is good to know though, that your pieces were a controlled release. Otherwise you were writing at fever pitch, which you I guess you do too. I cannot imagine what it must be like to be you, carrying copious information, and being able to synthesize and explain it so masterfully. I am only glad you share your insights and philosophical poetry with us. I know you have not made this prediction lightly. Friday?

We very much appreciate this post, Mike. I think most who expressed concern here did so out of genuine care.

I refrained from asking if you were okay because I didn’t want to overwhelm and I knew you would speak when ready.

I was a bit worried, but not over your mental health (I personally know what manic depression is & that wasn’t my thought) - but more over if someone had manipulated your account because of how abrupt and to the point your post was which I think most found shocking. That said, I am very glad you are okay.❣️

Mike - I read your response. I kindly suggest you always take sufficient time (and discuss with a trusted person) before you push the post button on what you are posting when it is a significant event that is either true or false. Trust and credibility are critical with your readers.

Just became a free subscriber. So far I am very impressed by your work, especially your two-parter, "The Plot Against America". I also appreciate your humility, compassion, and willingness to address readers' concerns head on.

With that said, I do solemnly promise you that if you turn out to be correct about He Who Shall Not Be Named, then I will become a paid subscriber.

All I know is that you are an excellent writer no matter the topic.

My thought after reading the article was that I hoped you were right (trust) and that we need to be sure (verify).

As Billy Crystal said in “the Princess Bride,” your friend here is MOSTLY dead. MOSTLY dead means a little alive. I think that applies to our president. He is only dead in his heart and in his soul. (His brain is not too good either.)

Wow, thank you for really detailing your writing process. I always wondered how you could crank out so many pieces in such a short period of time. You know, to the point where I would start to think, "God, I hope he's taking time to scarf down a sandwich and a glass of milk."

I am seeing pieces around the internet about Trump being AWOL this morning.........

Glad you're good. Can't wait for the reveal, if it comes, and regardless of whether you're right or wrong, of who you received the information from and what led you to your conclusion. Should you care to share it in the denouement.

Keep doing you Mr. Brock!...Some people think that just because they see social media posts coming from a person's SM account(s) and that the media is reporting details that would suggest that person has made recent decisions, that translates into the person being alive and well...Smart people know all of that BS can be easily forged!!!

What I like about your work, in general and the reason I subscribed, is your ability to make meaningful distinctions about complex subjects or issues. This post is the same, with the distinction between ‘are you ok’ and ‘can you offer proof’ being two distinct questions. Creating ‘bodies of distinction’ (I forget what philosopher coined the phrase and I never google in mid-sentence) is the work of a flexible and sharp intellect. So when such a thinker makes a claim that could easily be false and will eventually be proven one way or the other, I take notice but I don’t judge it. You’re certainly entitled to say what you think. As to ‘don’t offer us false hope’ - that’s not on you. Expectation is the ‘mother of disappointment’ If people live in breathless hope that any day their hope for 47’s demise will be realized, they need to own that fully and work through whatever physical, emotional and mental anxieties accompany it and not lay those at the feet of what you think and say. Writers own their own psychic spaces, as we all do.

I greatly appreciate your voice. And thanks for the insight into your writing and thought processes.

If we assume any good sources on this claim must be well within Trump's close circle, the more important news for the long term is that several of those trusted within the circle are not loyal to it. It's may be burying the lede to headline it as about Trump, instead of this.
