As one of our more loquacious Substack contributors (I say with affection) I’m curious which outrage prompted “No words.” If it was the horrifying treatment of Senator Padilla, I’m right there with you.

That was shocking even in light of everything else we've seen

At this point who knows? There's going to be justice done certainly. When? That's the question.

The British were sent packing from India but only after they committed unspeakable atrocities against peaceful and unarmed citizens. Freedom was gained but was justice ever served? One hopes for a universe where Karma ensures that the likes of Brigadier General Reginald Dyer reincarnate as dung beetles.

Closer to home, there are statues honouring men who held slaves and who fought to defend the practice.

It seems that white Europeans seldom face justice in this world.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Come Saturday though, we must all speak with one voice.

What is just so shocking is that we have seen all of this before in Italy and Germany in the 20’s and 30’s of the last century.

I am reading “the Berlin diaries” by William Shirer, and you hear and feel his disbelief at what’s happening in Germany and the sheer brutality and speed of Hitler turning Germany into the Nazi dictatorship.

It all reads like the blueprints that are being used now.

I’m watching, hearing his/our pain.

It’s ‘their’ choice not to stop them. And right at the top - you have the enablers in chief who cower before a man who can neither walk - nor talk - it beggars belief!
