Firstly, thank you, I enjoy your essays very much.
Now, on Gen Z. I am quite old, I grew up on animal farm of early eighties, so perhaps some things are not that natural, including all these alphabet Gen's - heck, there were 20 yo in SS and 20 yo anti-fascists...
So, my question is about meaningfulness of gen z awakening. How (the heck) do you vote for Trump then say you're disappointed with the results? And why should anyone care? The next thing could easily go from shooting all brown south American looking people to naked Bible communes reading everything in it from horse's ass to space aliens, except for what's there in plain language (there was a british TV show Red Dwarf where one episode told a story of a misprinted Bible and a guy who spent every morning of his childhood with a Hop (as in jumping)).
Also, after shining some positive light on Reagan and Bush (whitewashing I'd say 🙂), in case i missed it, please write about Biden presidency - what was great, what went wrong, what really are the lessons. Not Joe Biden persona but the administration, its policies, and what is it that gen z expects to happen to please them.
There are just 2 months before potential irrelevance of any of this. Recently PBS had an Ancient Egypt show, and the timeline was these long dynastic, kingdom periods interspersed by "short" intermediate periods. Well, f***, those lasted centuries. And the very modern, 21st century story is not necessarily a hopeful one.
